Steve Risavy is an associate professor in the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University and he teaches and conducts research in the area of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources Management. Professor Risavy holds a PhD from the University of Guelph and MASc and BA degrees from the University of Waterloo.
Professor Risavy is also a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and prior to joining Laurier, he was the Director of Human Resources for Fusion Homes. Professor Risavy has also been employed as a Human Resources Management Consultant by Organization and Management Solutions, Knightsbridge Human Capital Management, and the Waterloo Organizational Research and Consulting Group.
Professor Risavy has researched a variety of topics related to organizational and management issues. Several of his research publications have involved the underlying theme of better understanding the best practices associated with employee selection. Professor Risavy is also an active case and textbook writer, and has published work related to the scholarship of teaching and learning.
