I received my PhD in geochemistry from the McMaster University in 1999 and my BSc in geochemistry from the McMaster in 1994.
Prior to joining Laurier in 2002, I was a postdoctoral fellow in the Chemistry Department at McMaster University (2001-2002) and in the Geology Department the University of Toronto (1998-2000).
My research is driven by the need to establish safe and appropriate limits for metals and nutrients in aquatic systems. There are three main areas of research (1) nutrient removal/recovery (2) metal speciation/toxicity (3) analytical methods for in-situ analysis (monitoring). This research is supported by many government and industrial partners.
