Bio/Research
Rima Khatib is an Assistant Professor in Business Technology Management at the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics, Wilfrid Laurier University. She is a passionate educator, with extensive cross-cultural experience in teaching, research, and academic services. Her research and teaching interests lie in the are management of information technology, information security, cybersecurity, and AI use in education.

- PhD, Information Technology Administration, HEC Montreal, University of Montreal.
- Masters, Computer Science and Modelling, AUPELF, University of Reims, University of Rennes,
Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lauzanne, and Lebanese University.
Rima is an expert in Information Systems Management, specializing in Information and Cyber Security Management. Her research has examined various factors contributing to employee non-compliance with information security policies. Rima has shared her insights on cybersecurity with media outlets, including CTV news and The Record. Currently, her research focus centers on cybersecurity awareness and privacy concerns related to emerging technologies.
Rima is also researching Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education. Her research focuses on engineering the use of generative AI to enhance the quality of student learning experiences and assist educators in teaching.
Educational project:
Rima has led an educational initiative aimed at promoting cybersecurity awareness among young individuals. Central to this project is the creation of a cybersecurity website, www.hawkseducation.com, which adopts a comprehensive learning approach.
