Biography
Professor Dawe joined the Faculty of Science at Wilfrid Laurier University in the Chemistry and Biochemistry department in July 2013. She holds a Master's of Science from the University of Utah (2004), and both a Bachelor's degree in Intermediate and Secondary Education (2004), and a PhD in Chemistry (2008), from Memorial University of Newfoundland. In 2023 she completed a Masters Certificate in Leadership from York University (Ontario).
We are interested in working towards answers to the following questions:
- Coordination Chemistry
- How can we contribute to improved molecular design for (1) sensing environmental (oxo-)anions, and (2) producing magnetic molecules?
- How can we ‘turn on’ and ‘turn off’ molecular magnetic properties?
- Chemistry Education
- How can learning outcome mapping be used to plan, monitor and evaluate student success?
