Biography

I received my PhD in Artificial Intelligence from University of Kashan, Iran in 2020. I was a postdoctoral fellow at Ontario Tech University in 2021. Prior to joining Laurier, I worked at Laurentian University as an assistant professor in 2022.

My research is mainly focused on Machine Learning, Evolutionary Computation, and Multi-objective Optimization. Core areas of my research are:

  • innovating optimization algorithms
  • enhancing machine learning through evolutionary computation
  • applying developed optimization algorithms to machine learning applications such as healthcare
