Biography
Dr. Chen earned his PhD in Accounting from the University of Waterloo in 2017 and his master's and bachelor's degree in Economics from Fudan University in China.
Prior to joining Laurier, he was a financial auditor at PwC (2003–2006) and a financial advisor at KPMG (2006–2011). He is a certified public accountant in China.
Research Interests/Ongoing Projects
Managerial discretion in financial reporting and disclosure, information content of accounting information, issues in accounting standard setting, and capital markets.
