Biography

I received my PhD in philosophy from the University of Waterloo in 2002. I have taught at Wilfrid Laurier and Dalhousie University.

The main focus of my research is the relation between love and personal identity. I have several published papers on this topic and an edited collection titled Desire, Love, and Identity: Philosophy of Sex and Love, Oxford University Press, Canada, 2017. More recently, my book Alienation and Identity in Romantic Love was published by Lexington Books, 2024. I have recently started doing research in the area of philosophy of sport.
