Mike Wynes is an assistant professor in Accounting at Wilfrid Laurier University. He holds a PhD in accounting from Queen’s University, a Master of Finance degree from the University of Saskatchewan, and a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University Hawaii.
His primary research interest is understanding investor behavior. He has written papers focused on how investors respond to corporate apologies after organizational crises as well as papers about how emotions influence investment activity as well as information search and processing behavior. His research interests also include understanding behavior in other domains such as when individuals are more or less likely to misreport information.
