Bio/Research

I'm the queer and neurodivergent author of Danger Flower, winner of the 2022 Hamilton Literary Award for Poetry and one of CBC's selections for the Best Canadian Poetry of 2021. I'm also the author of a picture book, Why Are You So Quiet? (Annick Press, 2020) and a forthcoming short story collection, Weird Babies (The Porcupine's Quill, 2026).

I serve on the board of the League of Canadian Poets as Membership Committee Chair, review poetry for the Hamilton Review of Books, and am a member of the organizing committee for Hamilton's Lit Live Reading Series. As the 2023-24 Mabel Pugh Taylor Writer in Residence at McMaster University and Hamilton Public Library, I mentored over 130 emerging writers. I live in Hamilton with my partner and daughter.
