Bio/Research

I am one of Canada’s most respected and versatile musicians. I'm an in-demand guitarist and educator whose career spans over 30 years. An honours graduate of Humber College’s Jazz Diploma Program, I have built a reputation as a first-call session player, known for my musical depth, technical prowess, and stylistic fluency.

My extensive recording and performance credits include work with internationally acclaimed artists such as Robben Ford (Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, George Harrison), Rik Emmett (Triumph), David Grissom (Dixie Chicks, John Cougar Melloncamp), Natalie McMaster (recording with Natalie and guest artists Sarah MacGlaughlin, Alan Doyle), Divine Brown, Sarah Slean, Paula Cole, Tebey, Jason Blaine, Duke Robillard, Andy Timmons, Dallas Wayne, Heather Myles, Darrell McCall (Ray Price), Don Thompson, Chris Cummings, The Lovelocks, Tara Oram, Marshall Dane, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Jade Eagleson, Lisa Brokop, Jessie Farrell, The Tenors, Gil Grand, George Fox, Alfie Zappacosta, Rich Little, and many others.

My work spans stage, screen, and studio. I have played guitar on several episodes and seasons of Cyanide and Happiness, and have performed in major theatrical productions with Mirvish Productions, including Moulin Rouge! and Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, as well as numerous productions with the Stage West and Drayton Entertainment theatre companies.

While widely recognized for my guitar work, those who know me best understand that my artistry runs much deeper as I am also a compelling vocalist, a skilled producer, and a thoughtful songwriter, with experience performing and recording on national television alongside major artists.

A dedicated educator, I previously held long-standing faculty positions at Humber College (2002–2021), Mohawk College (2009–2026), and Centennial College (2016–2026) in Ontario, Canada. My influence can be felt not only through my performances, but through the many musicians I have mentored and inspired throughout my career. Many of today’s most respected touring and session players count me as one of their primary teachers. I am excited to be part of the esteemed faculty at Laurier Academy of Music and Arts.
