Bio/Research

- Current research interests include: Migration, immigration and skilled migration incorporated with issues of race, racism, anti-Black racism. Additional interests in community engagement [health] inequities and social justice.

- Current research projects include: Reconstructing safe space for racialized youth exposed to violence using Mixed Reality (MR) technology in partnership with Blue Hills Civic Association, Connecticut USA. Teacher well-being and climate change with Dr. Carmel Roofe, University of the West Indies Jamaica.

- Courses taught: Ethical Thought and Reflexive Practice SK545; Social Justice and Transformative Social Work Practice; Afrocentric Social Work SK632; Advanced Social Work Practice with Individuals SK651.

- PhD, York University with an MSW, BSW and BA in International Development Studies.
