Bio/Research

I received my PhD in Social and Political Thought from York University in 2010 after receiving my MA in the same program in 2005. I received an accredited Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Toronto in 2001. I am a member of Wilfrid Laurier's Biopolitical Research Group: Techne.

The main focus of my work is understanding human power relationships through a variety of disciplines, including continental political philosophy, Lacanian psychoanalytic theory, architectural theory, and media studies. Specifically, I am interested in understanding the modalities of oppression and resistance particular to the contemporary Postmodern condition.
