Bio/Research

Alexis Lowater is a taxation lecturer in the accounting area at the Lazaridis School. After graduating from her Master’s degree at the University of Waterloo, she practiced as a cross-border taxation manager with KPMG and Doane Grant Thornton LLP where she would apply the complexities of Canadian and U.S. tax laws to client scenarios. Shortly after obtaining her CPA, CA designation, Alexis decided to switch career paths and entered the world of academia.
